Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc. was established in 1996 to help revitalize Waynesboro’s downtown district through support for new and existing businesses, and by providing improvements, events and activities to attract visitors and residents alike to come and enjoy our historic downtown.

 

With a focus on economic growth, marketing our downtown and the surrounding community to new consumers and businesses, and developing programs to promote current downtown business and property owners, Mainstreet Waynesboro is working to restore the vitality of our historic Main Street and downtown district, making it once again the unique commercial and social heart of Waynesboro.

 

The downtown district includes the seven blocks along Main Street from Clayton Avenue on the East to Fairview Avenue on the West. However, Mainstreet’s interests include bringing shared prosperity and new vitality to our surrounding community as well.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

Mainstreet Waynesboro's mission is to lead the revitalization of downtown Waynesboro through support of current businesses and the recruitment of new ones, while hosting events and activities to draw people downtown, and to visit the stores and restaurants.
