FOR OUR LOCAL SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN!
For many years, we have hung banners throughout downtown Waynesboro in memory of fallen or MIA servicemen and women during the weeks surrounding Memorial Day. In November 2018, we decided to extend the same honor to all local veterans who have served our country by offering banners for purchase once again. These new banners were unveiled in a special ceremony prior to being hung downtown mid-October, and they remained in the square through the week of Veterans Day (Nov. 11).

If your loved one has served, purchasing a banner is a wonderful way to show your appreciation! Business owners may also sponsor a banner.

Veterans Day banners will be hung prior to Market Day, which is always the first weekend in October, until about a week after Veterans Day, Nov. 11th, every year.
The Hometown Heroes banners are hung before and after Memorial Day every year.
