Classic Car and Truck Show
In late June, car buffs won’t want to miss the 2015 Classic Car and Truck Show. Scheduled for Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the show includes some of the best show cars from miles around displayed along Main Street. Proud owners enjoy talking about their ’57 Chevy or classic Thunderbird as they compete for prizes. There is plenty to do for those who tag along with a car buff—downtown shops will be open and food vendors will set up on the square. 2015 Car Show Registration Form.
First Saturday in October
Crisp fall weather brings Mainstreet’s annual Market Day, always on the first Saturday in October. Market Day 2015 is on Saturday, October 3rd from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event features all-day entertainment, including live music, dancing demonstrations, sidewalk sales, Mad Anthony’s Chili-Cookoff, children’s activities, and dozens of craft, specialty, and food vendors. Entries in the annual Scarecrow Contest are displayed along Main Street lamp posts. Friday before Thanksgiving
One of Waynesboro’s treasured annual traditions, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony launches the Yuletide Season in downtown Waynesboro with music and festivities. Set for Friday, November 20, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. People gather in Center Square to enjoy live entertainment, a 6-foot tall candy cane, Santa's “elves” distributing treats to children, hot chocolate and other goodies, and to watch the illumination of the Christmas tree. Horse-drawn sleigh rides are available during the ceremony. On the Saturday following the tree lighting ceremony, Santa Claus arrives during the traditional Christmas parade, scheduled in 2015 for Saturday, November 21 at 2 p.m. For more information on the parade, click here for a 2015 Parade Entry Form or contact our office at 717-762-0397 or via email.

After a long cold winter, the Chocolate Extravaganza greets spring in style! This fundraising event features decadent chocolate creations by area confectioners, caterers and chefs, live music for dancing, beverages and door prizes. Black tie welcome (not required).
